Obi Asika is a Nigerian businessman, entrepreneur, show promoter, and the founder & CEO of Storm 360. He was born on October 3, 1968, in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. Born into a family with deep ties to Nigerian administration, Obi’s father was Anthony Ukpabi Asika, the then-administrator of East Central State during the Nigerian civil war. His early education began at Ekulu Primary School, Enugu, where he completed his primary education from 1974 to 1977.

After completing his primary education, Obi Asika moved to the United Kingdom for his secondary education. He attended the prestigious Ashdown House in East Sussex from 1977 to 1982. Subsequently, he gained admission to Eton College, where he distinguished himself, graduating with distinctions. At Eton, he held significant positions, such as secretary of the Film Society, secretary of the Political Society, and school prefect.

Now at 55 years old, Obi Asika identifies ethically as Igbo, follows the Christian faith, hails from the Southern region of Nigeria, and is a Nigerian citizen by nationality. In 2009, he entered into a marital union with Yetunde Bakare, now Yetunde Asika, a certified Human Rights Lawyer, Entertainment Lawyer, Criminal Law Litigator, and Intellectual Property Lawyer. Their union has been blessed with a daughter named Nuli, born in 2012.

Iba Ajie Hub

Beyond entertainment, Obi Asika recently launched the Iba Ajie, a community and resource center in Onitsha, Anambra State. Named in honor of his late father, H.E Ajie (Dr) Ukpabi Asika, CFR, the Iba Ajie Hub aims to celebrate culture, legacy, and history while looking towards the future. It serves as a space for art and storytelling to nurture and develop talents and impact the community positively.
