Rotimi Akeredolu was born on July 21, 1956, in Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria. He was the offspring of Reverend J. Ola Akeredolu and Lady Evangelist Grace B. Akeredolu. His roots trace back to the revered Akeredolu family through his father and the Aderoyiju family of Igbotu, Ese Odo, through his mother.
