Arshad Hussain Shah Career

On August 19, 2023, he was appointed to the provincial cabinet of the Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Azam Khan, taking charge of the Law, Auqaf, and Human Rights portfolios. His tenure in this capacity continued until the unfortunate demise of Muhammad Azam Khan, leading to the dissolution of the cabinet.

Subsequently, on November 12, he was nominated as the next Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The recommendation came from Akram Khan Durrani, the former Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and received agreement from Mahmood Khan, the former elected Chief Minister. Following approval by Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, he took the oath of office.
