President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Hussaini Magaji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), as the new Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). This announcement is part of the President’s approval for various Chief Executive Officers to lead agencies and institutions under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

In a statement issued on Friday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the President also approved the appointments of other CEOs, including Afiz Oluwatoyi for the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Kamar Bakrin for the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC), Olufemi Ogunyemi for the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA), Nonye Ayeni as the Executive Director of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), and Aisha Rimi for the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

Additionally, the President approved Bamanga Jada as the Chief Executive Officer of the Oil & Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA), Charles Odii for the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), and Ifeanyi Okeke for the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).

The statement also mentioned that Rabiu Olowo now leads the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), Anthony Atuche heads the Nigeria Commodities Exchange (NCE), and Veronica Ndanusa is the new CEO of the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex (LITFCMB). Furthermore, Lucia Shittu was appointed as the CEO of the Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board (TBSMB), and Oluwemimo Osanipin is now the CEO of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC).

The appointments align with the President’s commitment to boost Nigeria’s economic growth by fostering trade expansion through support for small, medium, and large-scale industries. The new appointees are expected to deliver effectively, following the performance benchmarks established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda. All these appointments take immediate effect as per the President’s directive.
